Virtual Walk - Mangrove Forest - Langkawi - Malaysia + Surround Sound and Birds Eye Views
Langkawi, officially known as Langkawi the Jewel of Kedah, is an archipelago consisting
of 99 islands (plus 5 temporary islands revealed at low tide) located in the Andaman Sea,
about 30 kilometers off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. It is part of the state
of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border.
The Mangrove Boardwalk in Langkawi offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore
the island's rich mangrove ecosystems. These forests are located within the Kilim
Karst Geoforest Park, which is part of the larger Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark.
The boardwalk takes you through lush mangrove forests where you can observe
various species of flora and fauna. The mangroves support diverse wildlife including
crabs, mudskippers, monitor lizards, macaques, otters and a variety of bird species
like kingfishers, herons and eagles.
